ClassGraphic Learn enough basic signs, finger spelling and sign language syntax to be able to express and understand simple concepts in American Sign Language (ASL). You will be able to sign a simple conversation/dialogue with others. Because American Sign Language is a highly expressive and complex language, this class uses a structured format, requiring regular engagement, in order to help students build skills with confidence. 
Before the first class, purchase the required textbook at the Black Hawk College Bookstore in Building 1, 6600 34th Ave., Moline.
