Edgar V. Epperly is a life long learner, but when does an avid interest become an obsession? As a college student in 1955, Epperly began researching the details behind the brutal 1912 axe murder of eight people in Villisca, Iowa. Now, 70 years later, the retired college professor is still actively searching for a solution to the nation’s most famous cold case. Exclusive interviews with Epperly and others close to his unique, persistent and unusual work reveal the secret reason behind his dogged devotion to America’s greatest unsolved mystery. Filmmakers Kelly and Tammy Rundle of Fourth Wall Films will present their award-winning film “AXMAN” and lead a discussion/Q&A about the Villisca Axe Murders and the man behind the mystery.
