ClassGraphic Instructor: Rowen Schussheim-Anderson, textile artist and Augustana College professor emerita

Learn beginning Navajo weaving and explore beadwork of the local Sauk and the Ojibwa and Plains people. On a frame loom you will learn to weave angles, horizontal and vertical stripes, shading and other methods while learning about the Navajo weaving tradition. Also learn on a bead loom to make a beaded bracelet.
Students need to bring scissors, markers or colored pencils. There will be a $25 material fee payable to the instructor for yarns, beads and the use of a frame loom and bead loom, shuttles, and other weaving equipment.
