  • Camps are designed for students who will be entering 3rd-5th grade.
  • Students will attend the same 3 consecutive classes during each camp.
  • Classes will be held in-person at the BHC Outreach Center, 301 Avenue of the Cities, East Moline, IL unless otherwise noted.
  • Upon registration, you will receive more information about the camp and 1st day info.

Drawing Animals and Faces
Using pencil, you will learn to draw a different animal or face each day. You will focus on facial features, head shape and light to create works of art. Discover the artist in you, one drawing at a time.

Recycled Art
Take recycled materials and transform them into unique works of art. You’ll design, shape and build your own creations using everyday materials. Along the way, you’ll develop new artistic skills and explore ways to help the environment through your artwork. Join us as we explore our creative side by thinking outside the box.

Adventures in Painting 
Explore different methods of painting each day, ranging from acrylic to watercolor. You will explore these different mediums in-depth including technique, perspective, along with learning the basics of color theory.

For All Youth Camps and Classes
For marketing purposes, Black Hawk College will be taking pictures of the students in the summer youth camp/classes. If you would prefer that your child’s picture not be used in any publicity for the PaCE Department or for Black Hawk College, please notify us at shudak@bhc.edu.
