  • This camp is for students entering 6th-9th grade.
  • Students will attend the same 3 consecutive classes during each camp.
  • Classes will be held in-person at the Black Hawk College, 6600 34th Ave., Moline, IL.
  • Upon registration, you will receive more information about the camp and 1st day info.

Chef for a Week
This cooking class is for students who enjoy cooking for themselves and others. You will work in groups and learn how to follow recipes, apply cooking techniques and complete prep work. You will be able to enjoy the food you prepare. Time within the classroom will be split between learning and understanding material and concepts and preparing recipes.

Challenging Your Logic 
Healthy competition and exercise for your brain - that’s what you can expect from this class. If you like logic puzzles, you will enjoy learning different types of puzzles that require different thinking skills. Logic problems will range from the simple to the complex. Work in teams and take part in a week-long game of logic riddles. If you like to put your brain to work and enjoy the feeling of accomplishment after perseverance, then this is the class for you.

Canva and School Safe AI
In this hands-on course, you will explore how AI can support learning and creativity. We will explore student-friendly AI tools, including Google Gemini, Canva AI, Magic School, and SchoolAI. We will learn how each can help us create visuals and brainstorm ideas for projects, and even social media posts! Through guided activities and mini-challenges, you will also learn to use AI responsibly, think critically about the information it generates, and discover practical ways these tools can help you.
