Float down Paris’ Seine River without leaving the Quad Cities! This class will explore painters’ depictions of France’s famous river, particularly those of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists such as Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Vincent van Gogh. Particular study will be devoted to Georges Seurat’s A Sunday Afternoon on the Ile de la Grande Jatte in the collection of the Art Institute of Chicago.
