The class will focus on Positive Psychology, the branch of psychology that studies the virtues that enable individuals to thrive and to live meaningful and satisfying lives. The course will explore the six virtues (wisdom, courage, humanity, justice, temperance and transcendence) with examples from numerous films including “To Kill a Mockingbird,”  “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “The Shawshank Redemption.”
