This program meets the class and exam requirements for the Food Protection Management Certification for Illinois and Iowa. The class and exam use ServSafe, which is ANSI-CFP accredited. At the end of the last day of class, you will take the ServSafe paper exam and receive your results within 10 business days from ServSafe. Certification is valid for five years after successful completion of the class and passing the exam. Class will break for a 30-minute lunch on your own. You must bring a current photo ID to take the exam.
ServSafe Manager Book
Students have the option of purchasing the ServSafe Manager Book at the Outreach Center for $59. The book is available in English and Spanish and can be purchased before class. Book sales are final – no refunds allowed.
Need to retest for the Food Protection Manager Certification?
If you need to retest, call us to register for a test session at 309-796-8223. If it has been more than six months since you last took the class, you will need to register for the class again.
ServSafe’s Retest Policy:
You may take the exam twice within a 30-day period, if necessary. If a third attempt is required, you must wait at least 60-days from your last attempt. No more than four attempts are allowed in the 12-month period.
